Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What are your current rates?
A: You may view our current availability and associated rates by clicking the "Check Availability" button. This directs you to our VRBO calendar, all reservation requests are handled through VRBO. You may view the payment details once you have entered the dates and number of guests.
Q: How does VRBO work? What if I don't have a credit card?
A: Guests enter the desired dates and number of guests for the stay. You can review the details, including payment before submitting your request. Owners have 24 hours to accept or decline the reservation. Once the reservation is accepted, you will receive an email notification. This email also provides important details regarding check-in and your stay. All Tiny House reservations will require an additional step, guests are required to acknowledge the unique features of this cabin. VRBO allows for alternative payment methods if you do not have a credit card.
Q: Do you allows pets?
A: While we appreciate pets are often considered family, we are not equipped to handle pets. For the comfort of all of our guests we do not allow pets and are firm on this policy. Thank you for understanding.
Q: Do you allow children?
A: Yes. We do not charge for children 2 and under. We can provide a portable bassinet, booster seat and/or baby gates as needed. Please indicate your need on your reservation request.
Q: Do you provide firewood?
A: Firewood is provided free of charge. Our property is wooded and prefer guests not transport firewood to our property and risk infecting our trees.
Q: Can I stay one night?
A: We are firm on our two night minimum.
Q: Do you offer any discounts?
A: We offer a discount for weekly stays, 7 nights or more (per VRBO policy). We feel our price and pricing structure offers a fair value, we do not provide discounts beyond this.
Q: Can we adjust the number of guests after making a reservation?
A: Yes. We appreciate notification if you anticipate number of guest changes. We are happy to settle up on any changes at the time of check-in.
Q: Do you allow more than the maximum guests for either cabin?
A: The main cabin comfortably sleeps six guests, we provide linens and towels for six total. The Tiny House sleeps four comfortably, we provide linens for four guests only. We will consider additional guests, but prefer to speak directly to ensure expectations are met. Additional guest charge of $25/night plus tax applies.
Q: Can we rent both the Main Cabin and the Tiny House?
A: Yes, unfortunately VRBO is unable to link the two calendars together at this time. You will be required to submit reservations for both cabins at the same time. This has worked well for larger families in the past.
Q: How close is the Tiny House to the Main Cabin?
A: The two cabins are on opposite sides of the property, separated by woods and ravines. Neither cabin is visible from the other. There is a hiking trail through the woods that connects to two. It is approximately a 1/4 mile walk on the driveway between the two. We expect guests to respect privacy at both cabins.
Q: Do you live onsite?
A: No. We live approximately 10 min away and can generally respond to any issues promptly. Please be respectful of our neighboring farm and contact us directly if you require assistance.
Q: Can we view the property while we are visiting the area?
A: We take pride that our property offers privacy and seclusion for all of our guests. The cabin property is private, no trespassing is allowed. Please contact us if you wish to view the property without a reservation.
